1. How do I get a business license?

You must submit an application. Forms can be found on the Business Licensing page, or obtained in person at City Hall.

2. Do I need a license to operate a home business?

Yes you will need a license for any business activity conducted in the City of North Salt Lake. The Home Business License Application can be found here

3. Are there restrictions on home occupations in North Salt Lake?

Yes. Essentially, you may not conduct a home occupation if the business creates additional impacts on neighbors or surrounding streets and utilities. Examples of the types of restrictions include no employees or customers coming to the home, no machinery involved in the business, and no excessive noise, dust or garbage.
