Congratulations to Robert Drinkhall who was recently named North Salt Lake's Citizen of the Year.
Robert was born in Nampa, Idaho as the first of 10 children. He graduated from High School in 1989, and then while working as a photographer in Texas he met his wife and and they were married in the fall of 1992. Robert brought his wife back to Idaho in 1994 and started attending college, and they began their family. Robert started his own photography business and due to his success in that field, his brother approached him to go into business together. So they bought a home inspection franchise, and when it expanded to Utah, Robert brought his family to North Salt lake in 2005.
Robert has strong leadership skills and a passion for working and being involved with helping anyone that he can. Robert spearheaded a 2 year project to save the home a senior citizen in his neighborhood, and was then approached to help with other projects in the neighborhood. He has helped rally neighbors to put on 5 new roofs, paint homes, and to do tree trimming and removal. Robert has shared his skills and knowledge from his professional life to help anyone in need with their homes. At home, Robert is just as committed to his family, and when his mother passed away 9 years ago, he "inherited" 3 sisters that were still left at home, and raised them with his 4 girls and 1 son, making 8 children, and then adding his Grandmother to his household 5 years ago until she passed. Robert is continually seeking out opportunity to serve those in need, and has loved living in North Salt Lake; so much so that he frequently talks of hoping that all of their children will remain in the area after they are married because of this amazing community!
