About the Program
Participants in Uniting Neighbors provide all residents of North Salt Lake opportunities to see the variety in our community and to nurture a deep respect for our differences. We seek to celebrate our similarities to provide a common ground for healthy unity. We believe North Salt Lake is rich in diverse people, resources, ideas, hopes, capabilities, and heritage.

We work to help build a community where neighbors watch out for each other and prepare for unforeseen emergencies. We invite everyone in North Salt Lake to join us, person to person, neighborhood to neighborhood, business to business, in bringing together all people for the common good.

Concepts of the Program
We support the Uniting Neighbors concepts, which include:
  • A caring adult in the life of every child
  • A community prepared for emergencies
  • A safe place to live
  • Children having a healthy start in life
  • Our youth developing marketable skills
  • The availability of service opportunities

Program Handbook
The North Salt Lake Uniting Neighbors Handbook has special sections dedicated to emergency preparedness, neighborhood beautification, homeland defense, solving neighborhood problems, neighborhood watch, community building, and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program.
