The application process on average takes about two weeks to process once you have turned in the paperwork and paid the appropriate fees.

Good Landlord Program
This program provides rental owners and managers training and resources to eliminate code violations on their properties and reduce criminal activities within their rentals. Participants receive a discount on their business license fees.
|Home businesses that are operated only occasionally and by individuals under 18 years of age, or a home business whose combined impact on the neighborhood does not materially exceed that of the home are not required to obtain a business license for more information, see the following link: Home Business License-Not Required|
Home business owners who still wish to request a license and would otherwise be exempt from requirement:
The city ordinance address the types and numbers of animals that may be kept on your property. Questions regarding dog licensing may be directed to the Davis County Animal Control Division. Dogs must be licensed once they reach four (4) months of age and withing ten (10) of acquiring the dog. Persons with three (3) or more dogs must obtain a kennel license.
Domestic Farm Animals:
|Domestic farm animals are permitted on single family and duplex lots in residential zones. Lots less than 7,000 sq ft. have 18 animal points that may be used in accordance with the chart below. Lots which are between 7,000 sf. ft. and 21,780 sq. ft. have 45 animal points. Lots over 21,780 sq. ft. have 45 points, plus one additional point for each 500 sq. ft. over 21,780.Information regarding points allowed for lots over 1/2 acre can be obtained by contacting the Community Development Department.|
