Acts as the chief administrative officer, city treasurer, and direct supervisor of department heads (e.g., finance director, city engineer, chief of police, city recorder, public works director, justice court, golf course etc.)
Responsible for implementing all policy changes and directives of the mayor and the city council through regularly scheduled staff meetings with executive staff and department heads.
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the city and its services, pursuant to the policies and procedures adopted by the City Council
Prepares plans and programs concerning the development, operation, and needs of the city and submitting such plans to the City Council to be approved and developed as policy
Sets performance standards and exercises administrative control to ensure the city government is functioning in the most efficient manner
