Jordan River Paddle - Get To The River Event

Saturday, September 17, 2022

COME JOIN THE FUN! The Get to the River Festival brings together the community, businesses and local governments to celebrate, restore, explore and recreate on the Jordan River corridor. The 2022 festival will take place in September and include 30 days of river-focused celebrations and conservation activities hosted both virtually and outdoors in groups by the counties and cities along the Jordan River. Thousands of people each year turn out to celebrate the many wonderful things the river has to offer as well as volunteer to help clean up and restore the river to make it a destination for all to enjoy for generations to come.

The City of North Salt Lake, Jordan River Commission, and Davis County are once again sponsoring a canoe/kayak paddle on a beautiful 3-mile stretch of the Jordan River as part of the annual “Get To The River Festival”. The paddle will begin at 8:30am at the new Riverview Boat Ramp in Salt Lake City (1835 North Redwood Road) and end at Porter’s Landing Boat Takeout in NSL (50 South Jordan River Drive). A shuttle will be available at the end to drive you back to your vehicles at the put-in. Canoes and kayaks (along with life vests) will be available at no cost to you, but you are also welcome to bring your own. Please print and sign the waiver at the link, and bring it with you on the day of the event or e-mail it to Ali Avery (alia@nslcity.org). There will be blank copies of the waiver available the day of the event, as well.
