March is ‘Women’s History Month’, so let’s talk about some women in North Salt Lake who are having an impact in the leadership of our great city. These six ‘she-roes’ are making noticeable strides in bringing a brighter future and inspiring others to do the same.
The North Salt Lake City Council consists of five elected positions, three of which are currently held by women. These three power-hitters, Lisa Watts Baskin, Natalie Gordon, and Alisa Van Langeveld, all bring a wealth of experience, education and passion to the governing of North Salt Lake.
Did you know three of our six full-time department heads are also women? Karyn Baxter, City Engineer; Sherrie Pace, Community and Economic Development Director; and Heidi Voordeckers, Finance Director, all fill critical positions of responsibility helping manage the City’s daily operations and delivering long-term success.
This month we honor not only these women, but the many others within our City staff, City volunteers and entire NSL community who fill vital roles in contributing to our history and our future.
