One Kind Act a Day

The City of North Salt Lake cares about the health and wellbeing of its residents and believes that engaging in and promoting kindness is beneficial to the social fabric of our community. We are proud to have officially been proclaimed a Certified City of Kindness by the One Kind Act a Day organization.

In a ceremony November 12, 2024 at City Hall, First Lady of Utah, Abby Cox and Executive Director of One Kind Act a Day, Curtis Bennett, presented the award to Mayor Brian Horrocks on behalf of the City.

The Certified City of Kindness designation highlights our City's dedication to fostering a community where kindness and compassion are integral to daily life. We join the North Salt Lake schools and businesses who have already taken the kindness pledge, and we call on others to participate in initiatives which promote kindness, such as volunteering, supporting charitable organizations and engaging in daily acts of kindness. This is how we transform our world, one community at a time. #nsllife #bekind

The City of North Salt Lake was the second city in the State of Utah be designated as a Certified City of Kindness.
